The wait is over

Wilt

I wrote this song a year ago. It's evolved a lot since then, and in ways I'd never have imagined without this band. In March 2024, I wrote this song on the acoustic guitar. In April, the band helped me arrange it. In May, we debuted it at a music festival. In June, Dylan Donnelly recorded Tyler Donnelly playing the drums to it. In July, I recorded Tyler Busse playing the bass to it. In August, I recorded the acoustic guitars to it. In September I went to Europe and attended a mixing class and learned about the ridiculous signal flow techniques I applied on this track. In October Ike sent me their guitar parts. In November Hana sent me his guitar parts. In December I had a solid mix. In January 2025 Isaac Keith took pictures of us playing in a frat basement. In February Honor Winter sent me some drawings. In March I mastered and uploaded the track. Here it is.

In other news, we leave for Minneapolis in three days. This run of shows is probably the most significant "performance" event I've been a part of in my life. Acapella quartet at US Bank Stadium and playing young Mozart at the Ordway sure come close, so that's saying something.

There's another "single" to be released soon. And we're def gonna play a couple shows this Spring too. But, if you haven't already, get tickets to see us on tour! Bring your grandparents or whartever..

Thank you for your time and consideration,
Eli

Everything is coming toward you

Hello my friends. I hope the springtime is feeling good for you. I like how it's like snowing and then raining and then 50 degrees and you knever know...

Here is a lovely recording of us playing in SOL Studios (the recording/radio/podcast kinda place on campus). Reid DeThorne did a wonderful job engineering and Dominick Vaccaro filmed and interviewed us. These are just two of many people who I'm very excited to be handing the Lawrence University scene off to as we transition out of college next year. That is scary to think about but I know I'll be in good hands in Minneapolis. And I know SOL will be in good hands with these guys.

Speaking of Minneapolis, our first show out of the state of Wisconsin is on March 26th at Green Room. We're playing with Rosie and Jonny Darko and Emily Rhea. I'm so excited, especially since I met Rosie and Jonny only just about a year ago and I love what they're up to and they've expressed such excitement about my music and so it's super sick to share a stage with them, much less a stage so essential to the pop scene for small guys like us. I have a feeling this won't be any member of the Everything's last time there.

We've also got shows coming up on March 27th at Contented Cow in Northfield, MN, March 28th at the Rigby in Madison, March 30th at Anodyne in Milwaukee, and the "hometown gig" on April 1st at Stone Arch Brewpub in Appleton opening for the Wishbone Breakers' album release show. I made a super duper website page for this: https://eliorion.com/live

Oh, and you can watch our interview @ SOL here.
