Free candy + more shows + more releases

Hi! I forgot to check in yesterday but it's cause I've been so busy learning about computers and gigging and writing songs.

I'll get right to the point: if you show me this email I will give you a bag of rare Pop Rocks. I'll also have these at our concert in the Mead Witter room on March 1 at 8pm!

We're gonna play some new songs, all of which are on my album, AND we'll each perform a few songs by ourselves at the beginning. It will be a really good concert and I'm excited to share music with you. (Using the collective blog-email "you" is still funny to me.)

Finally, I have a new song out! It's called The Bells and it is, in the words of B-n L-w-s, "addictive as f---" and "incomprehensibly good."

New song for you

Hello I'm in my dorm room right now trying to write anything at all. It feels like people don't like me—how predictably "teenage experience"—but I should really be grown out of that now that I'm mistor old guy. I can't enter bars yet because I haven't felt like renewing my license. Not that I want to drink anyway. It's so cool that this is all being stored on a weird old looking blogspot site.

Once this is published and sent to you I'll have released a song called Diesel. Here it is. I made it around September of 2022 and my friend Joe was so excited about it. I think I kinda finally figured out how to get layers of intentional imperfection to enhance the expressiveness of the piece. Thats all from mistor big words guy for now.

Everything is Finally Coming True

So this is it. I'm in bed at like 3:30 am and having so much fun organizing little pictures and sounds and words on my laptop.

Is it so? My tendons and joints are stiff and tingling from so much guitar and trackpad and so little water and stretching.

It is this: So ridiculously excited to begin preparing for shows with my band, The Everything, this winter. We will play around Appleton probably three times. Hey I'll get those dates in your inbox once that all gets set up. I'm also gonna do some solo busking stuff around the streets and at open mics and coffee shops. That will be great.

And as I finish setting up my little email list automations, I realize I need a paid version of the web service I'm using to send people special birthday messages. This makes me feel sad. I would love to write little songs for people's birthdays. Maybe I'll just do that in the meantime.

We've made it thru the darkest part of the year. Only the better can follow.
